Lee County Community Development — Captiva is governed by Lee County, and Lee County Community Development handles building permits there. Permits for electrical work are applied for by contractors through the County’s eConnect system, with an electrical diagram attached. State rules can also apply to coastal sites: building seaward of the Coastal Construction Control Line may need state environmental approval. We handle the permit paperwork.
On one Captiva property we installed a 50-amp shore power receptacle for a boat on a dock piling, with an outdoor-rated Square D disconnect above it, a 120-volt receptacle under a clear weatherproof cover and the wiring in conduit down the piling. On the same property we wired the Pentair pool equipment panel, two pool light transformers for the spa and pool lights, a 120-volt electronic water leveler and a 50-amp circuit for the pool heater.

This company is by far the best! We had already used four different electricians, and not one of them was able to figure out or fix the issue.
