City of Naples Building Department — The City of Naples Building Department, 295 Riverside Circle, (239) 213-5020, takes permit applications through its online public portal. For a standby generator the City’s checklist (dated October 1, 2026) calls for a scope-of-work letter, site plan, elevation sketch, slab or pad detail, generator and transfer switch specifications and the location of the required E-stop. In a Special Flood Hazard Area the finished pad must be at the Base Flood Elevation plus 1 foot, and a final survey showing the generator’s elevation is required before final inspection. The City also requires a permit for all hurricane-damage repair work, including electrical. We handle the permit paperwork.
In the Terreno by DiVosta community we installed a Tesla charger in the garage of a new home, fed from the home’s 200-amp Siemens panel on a 60-amp breaker, with conduit along the garage wall from the panel to the charger. The connector is commissioned for the 60-amp circuit and can still be set to a lower charge level.
