City of Bonita Springs Community Development Department — Electrical work in Bonita Springs is permitted and inspected through the City’s Community Development Department at 9220 Bonita Beach Road, Suite 111. The City’s online Permit Portal accepts trade mechanical permits, and other permit types are submitted in person or by email. The department lists a floodplain manager on its staff. We handle the permit paperwork for you. Florida currently enforces the 2020 National Electrical Code through the 8th Edition (2023) Florida Building Code.
In Quail West we installed two Tesla chargers side by side in a home with a 600-amp service, so both can run at the same time. We ran a number 4 SEU cable to each charger, sized for the continuous load, kept the wiring inside the wall with a small drywall opening that we patched afterward, and left a disconnect whip for the air conditioning contractor’s mini split. Quail West is a community where we have completed many jobs.
We install Tesla chargers and every other brand of EV charger, at homes and at commercial properties. A charger is a continuous load, so the circuit is sized for it: the conductors are rated at 125 percent of the charger load. We run the circuit from your panel to the charger, add the disconnect, and handle the City permit.
Older panels, including Challenger and Federal Pacific, are replaced with new ones, and we handle the City permit and the inspection.
We have installed Generac generators for about ten years, with transfer switches or generator inlets. We also do generator maintenance such as oil changes, spark plugs and air filters, and we troubleshoot the electrical side and the transfer switch. We do not repair mechanical engine faults.
Whole-home protection at the panel plus point-of-use protection at the A/C condenser. In our experience, cheap minimum-code protectors do not protect well, and some surges start inside the home at the A/C compressor, which is why protection at the unit matters.

This company is by far the best! We had already used four different electricians, and not one of them was able to figure out or fix the issue.
