What we did
- Installed two 200-amp Generac automatic transfer switches next to the outdoor meter, one on each side of it. Each switch is labeled Emergency Disconnect and Service Disconnect.
- Connected the transfer switches to a 26 kW Generac standby generator at the back of the home.
- Trenched about 40 feet to the generator and ran the generator cable in 2-inch conduit, buried at least 24 inches deep.
The generator sits on a raised concrete pad at the back of the home, next to the home’s air conditioner and the pool equipment.
