We install the circuit, mount the Wall Connector, and configure it for your Tesla. Alternatively, a 50A NEMA 14-50 outlet works with Tesla’s mobile connector for nearly the same charging speed.
Yes — most EV charger installations require an electrical permit. The City of Cape Coral and Lee County both require permits for new 50A or 60A circuit installations. ElectriciansX handles all permit applications and inspections on your behalf.
The physical installation typically takes 2–4 hours. If a permit is required (which it usually is), the total timeline from scheduling to final inspection is typically 1–2 weeks.
Most modern 200A residential panels have adequate capacity for a 50A EV charger circuit. Older homes with 100A panels or fully loaded panels may need a panel upgrade first. We assess your panel capacity during the free estimate and let you know before any work begins.
Level 2 charging uses a 240V circuit (like your dryer or oven) to deliver 20–50 miles of range per hour — typically charging an EV fully overnight.
